2022 TAMING SARI EXERCISE SERIES 21 AND MISSILE-FIRING EXERCISE

KEDAH, May 22, 2022 – The Senior Defence Minister, Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, was present to witness the 2022 TAMING SARI Exercise Series 21, which includes the EXOCET MM40 missile launched here in Langkawi.

A total of 1,250 personnel from the Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), and Maritime Enforcement Agency Malaysia (MMEA) participated in this exercise. The exercise involved 10 naval ships, five Fast Combat Boats (FCB), three RMN aircrafts, three RMAF aircrafts, and two MMEA aircrafts.

The success of firing the missile demonstrates that the MAF always maintains and handles its existing assets and weapons at the highest level, including the RMN missile system.

Also present were the Deputy Defence Minister, Dato' Sri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz; Secretary General of the Defence Ministry, Dato’ Sri Muez Abd Aziz and Services Commanders.
